Fleur de Sel de Guerande is a sea salt composed of fine, light floating crystals which form sheets on the water of the "oeillets" (salt pools). It is a naturally white salt, of exceptional quality, very rare, not ground or washed, which is sun-dried, preserving its naturally high content of magnesium and other mineral salts and trace elements. Fleur de Sel is hand-harvested, using a "lousse"(flat spade).
Fleur de Sel is used to bring out the flavour of vegetables,crudities, seafood and grills. Try sprinkling some on your tomato and mozerella salad drizzled with olive oil! |
